Q: Can the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner be an Automatic?
I've been to the dealer, looked around the truck. Its beautiful. BUT Im not that great at driving a manual. I mean I can do it if I absolutely had to but Id rather not. So Im asking does it come in automatic? I would've asked a Salesperson but it was like 2200 when I went. =)

A: i would think they would .

Q: About how much can a payment be on a toyota tacoma x-runner from the car dealer?

A: What's the truck price? What's your credit score? What's the down payment? you this info to figure it out....but the best way is to go for a bank loan. You will save tons of money

Q: Toyota Tacoma X-Runner?
What was the first year Toyota put out the X-Runner?

A: i think the first x-runner was put out in 2005

Q: whould it be hard, stupid or anything to throw a turbo in a 2007 toyota tacoma x-runner with 36000 miles?

A: You may want to consider a TRD supercharger for it. They are a fairly straight forward bolt on accessory. I have one on my 04 Tacoma and love it. With the headers and high flow exhaust I'm putting out over 300 horsepower. No turbo lag and plenty of power from idle up. I have it set to run 7.5 pounds of boost max but I live at high altitude (7500 feet), you might want to run a lower boost if you live closer to sea level.

Q: Turbocharger or supercharger in 2006 Toyota Tacoma X-runner?
I am having a hard time deciding which is better and I would love for opinions. One of my buddies was talking about higher end is better for a Turbocharger and lower end is better for a Supercharger. I didn't know what he was talking about and didn't want to sound like an idiot, asking what does that mean? So what does that mean. I like acceleration a lot but also want more punch at higher speeds. I have TCAI already and the next step is the question, supecharger or turbocharger? I am not worried about money at all becuase I am heading back from the desert. I just wanna know which one is better, please help with personal experience and/or knowledge, thanks.

A: supercharger gives power from the get go..but dies off at its peak which is in the high mid rpm ranges... a turbo charger gives power anywhere from 4000 rpms to 5500rpms...and takes it to some what the highest the rpms would go... but it laggs at the lower rpms...and then youll get a sudden boost when it kicks in.... the turbo would also give you more hp depending on application.... and you could also try twin charging...where you use a supercharger and a turbo charger....the best of both worlds in one...but reliability and high maintenance is a factor....

Q: do you think toyota x runner?
is sweet i wanna get one but i unno i like it but it doesnt have that many seats in it waht do u think? about the toyota tacoma x-runner>?

A: take a ride and decide...............! ok dear

Q: trd super charger for x runner?
Has toyota made a trd kit for the toyota tacoma x runner?

A: I fit is the v6 then yes,I was in a local toyota shop, there was a tacoma with 36 in swampers. The guy had lots of money but no sense. In stead of doing ring and pinion changes for the tire difference he added a trd super charger.Long story short is the super charger had to work way too much.He broke the crank in half...He drove the truck to the shop...When they pulled the oil pan the crank was in 2 pieces...This is a true story.

Q: Any suggestions on a sporty looking truck?
I really like the Toyota Tacoma X-runner it is a sweet truck, but to get the one I want I would have to special order it & I don't want to wait 3 to 6 months. So what other kinds of trucks have a more sporty look, not a S-10 or anything small, more of a medium size. If there are any

A: Well then you could consider a Dakota. It will take 4-6 weeks if you order it. Get the Ext cab w/ 4.7L V8, Alpine stereo, & black alloys. Plenty of incentives on it that make it affordable. The Chrysler corp got that big govt handout making for some very low interest rates. Just a suggestion.

Q: Does 4wd really make a difference in the snow?
Im looking to buy a 2007 toyota tacoma x runner its front wheel drive I believe but how will that be in the snow never driven in the snow because where i used to live it didnt snow but is 4 wheel drive necessary

A: Front wheel drive is far better in snow than rear wheel drive. You have most of your weight over your drive fires which makes it better. Four wheel drive is the best in snow but you have to make sure that the roads are completely covered with snow because driving your four wheel drive on dry pavement is really hard on the front end parts. On snow covered roads it is far superior to either front or rear wheel drive.

Q: 2007 Toyota Tacoma question?
how many people can a regular cab hold a access cab hold a double cab hold and an X-Runner hold. Also what features does it have like TRD Off Road, TRD Sport TRD Rugged Terrain. is there an option on a DVD player inside? please answer the one with the most help earns best answer

A: I can only talk about an X-runner and a regular cab we had, both '06 and newer models. The X-runner has the access cab, that's the only way it comes, no other options. The rear seats are very small, won't be comfortable for adults, maybe for short time. Kind of like a third row seat in an SUV. The double cab is just like any SUV, good for five person. The regular cab will hold three in the front. If I remember correctly, it's a one piece bench seat, you can have one person in the middle. There is no room behind it, so not great when you have bags with you. Also, the seat does not recline, there's no room, so not the most comfy thing when you are in it for hours. The access cab is for two adults with some bags or a child or a dog in the bag.. You should go to Toyota's website to see the difference in the TRD versions. The X-runner only comes with 6 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. No auto or 4WD options. Comes with summer performance tires..

Q: Why would a manufacturer reacquire a vehicle?
I went to a Toyota dealership today and test drove a used 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner. 38,000 miles, $18,995. It drove fine.. exactly like it should. So I go home to look at the carfax history report, and it said it had 2 owners and the vehicle was obtained by the dealer at a car auction. Also, which caught my attention, it said: ALERT! This vehicle was reacquired by the manufacturer pursuant to applicable state consumer warranty laws or to promote customer satisfaction. ^^ What exactly does that mean? That makes me a little uneasy.. It was based off of a brand new 2009 tacoma that i also test drove. Also 4.0L v6. They drove identically. And yes it is still under powertrain warranty.

A: Sounds like a buyback vehicle. Dealer bought it back most likely under the Lemon Law. Sounds like it was a Lemon for 2 different owners. I am gonna guess the dealer paid less than $10,000 for it.

A: most likely it was a "Lemon law" buyback. Or one that acted like that. Toyota is a good company for customer service. If the car had multiple problems, they likely involved their customer arbitration department and bought the car back. This prevents the legalities of a Lemon Law case, and the car is not branded as such. When I managed a Toyota dealership I had this happen to one customer. It was a Celica that had gremlins in it. Our master tech (who was one of the top rated in the country) did all he could to exorcise the demons to no avail. Our service manager contacted Toyota, and they agreed to a buyback to keep the customer happy. That is what has happened here. Typically, those cars go back to the factory and are thoroughly re-checked in Quality Control, then sold at auction once fixed. Is it a safe buy? Probably. But I could understand not wanting to take the risk.
