Q: My Toyota Sienna XLE 2000 is doing some funny things with the locking mechanism..?
My Toyota Sienna XLE 2000 is doing some funny things. When the car is off and you are outside the car and want to lock it, it wont lock. I have the factory installed keyless entry remote system. When i lock the door it unlocks again by it self. Some time i can use the key other times even that wont work. And some times i have to press the door lock button but even that wont work. What can i do about this? What has to be check or fixed? Thank You Very Much

A: open your front doors and you will see a small black pressure switch just above where the door latches to the body---the same little switch that lets the lights come on when the doors open. This is called a courtesy light switch. It has a star-bit screw holding it to the body of the vehicle, if it becomes loose, it doesnt know that the door is fully shut and without the door fully shut the locks wont engage from either the keyless remote or the interior switch base. If you tighten these bolts up a little this might fix your problem. Good Luck! I have seen this happen before.

Q: Which is the best toyota sienna, xle,ce,or le?
I wanna kow which one is best ad i also wanna know the difference between the ce and the le.

A: CE is the basic model, LE is an upgraded model. The XLE is the most loaded, with luxuries it will cost more. If you want to pay for those additions get the LE. Either way, you are getting an excellent van!! Toyotas are awesome.

Q: how do you close a gas cap of toyota sienna xle? because i can still see a red gas light on my dash board.?
i ditched the car of my dad and i put gas on it. i'm not even sure if i returned the gas cap right...how do i lock it?i just hear one click..but i'm not really sure.. yeah. i put a few gas. like 10 dollars. i'm wondering if i returned the gas cap wrongly..so please..how do i close it??/??? im so nervous...

A: It is posable that you dented teh tank up and the sensor is above the fuel. You can look under and see if you did that. IF so you will need to replce the fuel tank. The cap won't affect the low fuel light, if you leave the cap loose your check engine light will turn on.

Q: What weight synthetic oil is recommended for my 2005 toyota sienna xle ltd? it has about 72000 miles.?

A: Read the http://www.mobilone.com website and select the best for your car that meets your owner's manual specifications.

Q: does bluetooth some different versions so it can connect to my toyota sienna xle limite?

A: Bluetooth is a communications standard that manufacturers of wireless equipment have agreed on so that their devices can "talk to each other." Even if two wireless devices are "blue tooth compatable," it still doesn't mean they will operate each other's functions. If the Toyota has wireless capability and it is blue tooth compatable then whatever you are doing might work, however just because the blue tooth part works doesn't mean the two devices will operate each other. The two devices have to not only talk to each other, they need to say the right things! It's almosty like TCP/IP, the internet protocol: A PC will "talk" to a Apple computer, but how much they can do together depends on what software they have running on them. Check out http://www.bluetooth.com/bluetooth/

Q: 2005 Toyota Sienna - How to convert rear audio to rear ENTERTAINMENT?
I am considering a purchase of a 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE with factory rear audio system. I want to know if it's possible to convert it into a rear entertainment system with a donor syystem or if I need to rip it out and install an aftermarket unit. I would also like to know if I can use the existing harness if i need to install a brand new aftermarket unit. Thanks!

A: You can order the OEM system through Toyota but it is extremely expensive from the parts department. You can have an aftermarket installed (they will just remove the rear audio and put the DVD system in place) and they should be able to wire everything into the audio system and also will supply wireless headphones.

Q: EZ-Pass on a 2009 Toyota Sienna XLE?
Will the windshield mounted EZ-pass work on a 2009 Sienna XLE, or does it need the license plate mounted one?

A: The regular windshield mounted EZ Pass will work fine. The vehicles that require the front plate mounted EZ Pass are vehicles that have either polarized or glass with metallic treatments which can interfere with the RF transmitions. No concerns on the Sienna for you. Hope this helps. Ken

Q: 2001 Toyota Sienna XLE electrical issue?
I have a 2001 Sienna XLE, last week after a very long period of idling all of my indicator lights came on and my car died, after a jumpstart ran fine. Tested the battery and alternator, battery came back fine, but alternator showed bad. We changed it expecting that to resolve the problem. Today after a very short idle (less than 5 minutes) while parked all my indicator lights came on, radio and A/C stopped working. I put the car in drive, drove away and all lights went off, when I came to a stop they all went back on. This happened off and on all day, to where I can make it happen now. The car never died, but there is an obvious electrical short somewhere. My question is can a short kill an alternator and if the symptoms can be pointed out to a mechanic and actually happen while in the shop, can this sort of short be fixed?

A: It possible could be a defective rebuilt alternator. I have 35 years experience in auto repair and I have seen this many times before. The part that you changed is defective! Have the alt. tested again. If it is NG, have it replaced with a rebuilt alternator from your Toyota dealer. Its the only kind that I sell. I've had to many come backs over the years with generic rebuilds. If the alternator test OK, test the connections at the battery. Pull on the cables and make sure that they aren't loose. I've been fooled by this problem many times in the past. The only other things that I can think of is there is a bad connection at the ignition switch or a bad connection in one of the fuse boxes. I worked on a Toyota Matrix a few weeks ago for many hours before I traced a similar problem to the under dash fuse box. It was expensive but when I replaced it the problem went away. The customer had the problem on and off for two years before the symptoms finally got consistent enough for it to be found. Best of luck.

Q: Will 17" wheels from a 2006 Lexus RX330 fit on my 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE?

A: if you have 17 inch rims on your toyota then yes

Q: Will toyota sienna XLE have 8 seats?

A: I think only the base model has 8 seats the higher models usually include captain's chairs, limiting seating capacity to seven

Q: do you agree that 2006 Toyota sienna xle Awd limited takes a lot of gas!?
DO YOU THINK IT TAKES A LOT OF GAS LIKE 3.5 L

A: It should because it is AWD. A 2WD minivan really only averages about 17-18 mpg. With AWD, I wouldn't be surprised if it falls to 14 mpg at times.
