Q: This is serious, 2009 Honda Odyssey EX,2009 Toyota Sienna LE AWD , or 2009Toyota Sienna XLE?
I personally like the Odyssey EX, but my mom really thinks we should get an AWD vehicle since we live in western PA, and it snows or at least a leather car if it is the same price. The thing is, Toyota Sienna LE AWD is so hard to find though. So, I need an opinion, on which we should get. And why is it so hard to find a Sienna LE AWD?

A: Unfortunately AWD minivans are a dying breed, but excellent machines. They affect companies' CAFE, corporate average fuel economy , and they only have a niche in the snow belts so they are an expensive option that means that box doesn't get marked when most people are ordering them. Many people have their SUV for wondering about in the snow so they try to save money on the new vehicle. I would recommend the AWD Sienna if you can find one. If you are forced to choose between the 2wd versions I would recommend the Odyssey because it is more satisfying to drive and it's reliability has not been tarnished by recalls like the Toyota marque in recent years.

Q: What is the best air filter I can buy for my 2004 Toyota Sienna LE?
I've had my car for over 5 years and I have never changed the air filter. It has such a bad odor. Please help.

A: NAPA auto parts stores boxes their own cabin (car interior) air filters with the NAPA add on the box. Actually all their filters are made by the Wix filtration company. If you have a bad odor coming from your air conditioner or fresh air duct-work. Please lend me your ear! This is no joke. You may have a fungus actually growing inside the air conditioning duct-work. New car dealerships have the equipment that runs a strong chemical fog through the duct-work for up to 45-60 minutes that absolutely kills bacteria and fungus. If you are talking about your engine air filter you still can't beat NAPA filters.

Q: How much are All Weather Floor Mats for a 2010 Toyota Sienna LE-8 passengers when you buy them from the dealer?

A: The Dealer does not manufacture floor mats. So the price is all going to depend on which floor mat manufacturer they are using. As with most after market parts from a dealership, you will most likely pay more than you need to. We are a Floor Mat Vendor for Intro Tech, which in my opinion is one of the best floor mats available. Here is a link to their all weather mat on our site: http://www.seatcoversunlimited.com/All-Weather-Hexomat-Custom-Fit-p-16278.html These are a higher end, custom made floor mat that will be a guaranteed fit. Hope this helps.

Q: The interior floor lights in our 2006 Toyota Sienna LE won't turn off. Why?
I've already had to jump start the car once and would like to avoid doing it again. All the doors are shut, but the lights stay on. We have a sliding door on either side (right side door is powered) and the lights are located immediately to the side of the 2nd row seats. I assume these lights should be on when its corresponding door is open (not all the time).

A: check the insterment dimmer it might be turned all the way on which will keep all the lights inside on if that is off one of the door plungers "looks like a black boot about 1" lon sticking out of the door jam thay might be stuck out! keeping the lights on

Q: Anyone know the approx. dealer cost on a Toyota Sienna LE?
Want to negotiate the best price. Yes, I know I can buy this info from consumer reports, but I thought I'd ask you all first! Thanks!

A: go to edmunds.com ( it's free ) fill in all the info such as make, model, options and even color plus you zip code as to where you live and they will give you 3 figures !) invoice ( what is costs the dealer ) 2 ) msrp ( the window sticker price ) 3) the tmv ( true markey value you should pay in the area in which you live and this is waht you should buy the car for plus most dealers charge dealer fees ) app. 500.00) either print it out or write numbers down and take to dealer and ask to speak to internet saleperson, if they are not in ask the sales person if they do intenet buying and yes most will do it ( they don't like it but will do it ) and have him give you price and see how close it is to yours and if close fine, if not tell him what price you have and they should match it or come within about 100.00 or so. In case yuo don't want to go to dealer edmunds will ask if you want a dealer to contact you and within usually 48 hours dealers will either call or email you , some want you to come in, others will give you price right on line. I go in to dealer just because I want to talk to them and since using edmnds 15 years ago I've bought about 6 cars and never had any problems but once and I left the dealer and went to another and got the price I was quoted from edmunds. I always have my figures with me when I go as they can't tell me what they can sell the car to me for, I know it.

Q: is it good to buy toyota sienna LE with the odometer of 97500 mi , 2008 ,3.5 l , V6 ?
i want to by a family car so any idea about quality maintenance or else make me grateful?

A: If you buy this car from a Toyota dealer ask for the complete copies of service records. These will let you know the vehicle history of warrantied items as well as scheduled maintenance. If an independent pre-owned car dealer is selling the car you are stranded on an island. Have the car completely inspected by a Toyota dealer at the bare minimum.

Q: Why can't the Toyota Sienna LXE have the "8th seat" for the second row but the lesser model LE can?
This is odd to me that the lower model Toyota Sienna LE can have up to 8 passengers. If you want to upgrade to an LXE the most you can have is seating for 7. I understand that the models with 7 passengers have "captain style seats that are removable...why couldn't they be just replaced with the seats that allow for 3? The LE can come with the captain seats if wanted but not the other way around seems a bit confusing to me...?

A: That question has baffled me since they introduced the option in 2004. I have to agree with the last answer on the XLE being more focused toward luxury, but it's still a minivan- no matter how luxurious it is. Also, don't go with the Odyssey. the Sienna offers the same features and you won't have to worry about all the quirky issues that arise on the Honda. They've improved quality wise and the Odyssey is more fun to drive, but the Sienna has them beat in almost every other category.

Q: Toyota Sienna LE problems?
Hi, I own a 2000 Sienna. There are 2 problems with it. Trunk does not open. Handle lever is broken. Dealer says head gasket is showing signs of wear-n-tear. Any idea what these may cost me in Illinois? Does any Toyota Service bulletins cover these? I mean the car is only 7 years old and has 105K miles on it. These are supposed to last longer, right? i had bought this new back in 2000 from a dealer.

Q: how to replace fan belt on 2005 toyota sienna le?

A: Your Sienna has an electric fan motor and blades. The serpentine belt that drives the water-pump, power steering pump, alternator and air conditioning compressor does not have a convenient take-up-idler pulley. There is a plastic panel that must be removed under the car where you will find a mechanically adjusted idler pulley. Toyota dealerships require 45 minutes to do this miserable job plus the price of a new belt.
