Q: 2004 Toyota Sequoia Sr5 Keyless Entry Programming I need help please?
My mom and dad bought 2 - 2004 Sequoia's Brand new a few years back. One was totalled so we kept the remote which we want to program on the other 2004 Sequoia. FCCID: ELVAT1B Dealership Manager said it can't work and that I should come on in and speak to Service. OF course they are going to charge an arm and leg. DOes anyone know If I can program this myself. Thanks so much in advance.
A: That should be a SecuriKey+ system and you should be able to re-program the remote by following these instructions

Q: What should i get a, 02 Toyota Sequoia or 05 GMC Yukon XL?
I can get a 2002 Toyota Sequoia SR5 4WD and a 2005 GMC Yukon XL 1500 4WD for 8500$ USD.
The Sequoia has 108k miles and the Yukon has 122k miles. They also do the same gas milage. Now I like size, the bigger the better so i am leaning towards the Yukon but my dad wants me to get the Sequoia. Overall which of these two SUVs should i get?
A: I look at the overall vehicle and compare maintenance as well as repair cost and the GMC Yukon would be the better bet in the long run...plus the engines in the GMC Yukon are easier to work on.
Q: best price for 2006 toyota sequoia loaded sr5?
A: You can check the price of this car and any other car at http://www.kbb.com. It will provide you with the market value of the car, depending on which options specifically it has, whether it's a manual or automatic, how many miles it has on it, etc. Also keep in mind that the value of the car will vary depending on where you live.
Q: Dear,Sir i have 2004 toyota sequaia sr5 after change front and back pad i am seeing sign says "[1] VSC OFF?
2004 toyota sequoia sr5 front back pad change only after see this sign on desk [1] VSC OFF [2] VSC TRACK [3] BREAK LIGHT ON.
could you please let me know.
many many thanks, may god bless you sir.
These are the signs:
1. VSC OFF
2. VSC TRAC
3.Brake Light
4. No bleeding occurred during the brake change.
5. I saw oil dripping on the garage floor.
Could anyone explain this???
Thanks.
A: VSC is the vehicle stability control (works through varying brake pressures between the wheels when the car senses that you are sliding / losing control). the oil should have nothing to do with this. Seems like that may just be a leak from somewhere else on the car. (assuming it was oil, not brake fluid). I'd have a mechanic put the car on a scanner to see what code is in the ecu that is telling it to put those lights on.
Q: How to fix smell from toyota sequoia?!?
I have a 2004 Toyota Sequoia sr5 model. For the last few months, every time I turn on the A/C, there is this horrible fungus-like smell. It doesn't matter which mode I use ( inside or out), it still smells bad. I got the air filter replaced too, but still the same problem. What could it be and how could I fix it??
The antifreeze levels are also fine- no problem there.
KJ Grant- I used the air freshener thing and it did not work at all.
John,
Thanks for your answer but what do you mean "leave the a/c fan on?" Do you mean leave the a/c compressor on?
A: This is a very common problem and there is a solution but it may take a few days to come right. You will not need to buy any cleaning products you just need to operate the A/C in a slightly different way.
What is happening is that condensation that builds up within the A/C is not being given a chance to dry out and the A/C unit within the car is always damp-the dampness is going bad a making the fungus like smell.
The way to correct this and avoid having it happen again needs a little bit of forward planning.
Lets say for example you take 20 minutes to drive to work so you switch the A/C on as soon as you start the car. What you have to do is to anticipate when you will arrive at your destination and switch off the A/C compressor say 3 minutes before you arrive, but leave the A/C fan running all the time to dry out the A/C unit. It doesn't matter if you forget once to do this once in a while, as long as the majority of the time the A/C unit is allowed to dry out.
The car will still be nice and cool to drive in for the last few minutes even with the A/C compressor off.
Hope this helps.
Q: When is the Best time to buy a toyota sequoia 08 in Hawaii?
There are no incentives/ rebates for the Toyota Sequoia 2008 in Hawaii right now. When do you think incentives will start coming in for Hawaii? Do you think/ know (have numbers) on the car sales of the new Sequoias in Hawaii? Because of the oil prices, I imagine it would be hard to sale SUVs like the Sequoia, but since its a new model, i bet theres always someone like me, that wants/needs one for work.
I am in the market for a SR5 Toyota Sequoia, 2nd generation.
I want the second generation Sequoia. The first generation's looks look outdated and are not appealing to me. If I were to buy a used SUV I would look into other options and not the Sequoia first generation.
A: Don't buy a new one, buy a used one. They are dirt cheap right now. Buy them at least $5,000 back of book.
Q: what does SR5 mean in Toyota trucks like the Sequoia ?
A: It doesnt mean anything it is just the name given to the interior upgrade package which included, bucket seats, tacometer, full door panells, and arm rests. Its not very meaningful today because you can pick and choose which options you want in the truck. It does not mean sport rally 5 speed because the 5 speed wasnt available in the pickup until 84 and the sr5 package became available in 72.
Q: 02 Toyota Sequoia oil Pressure?
I have an 02 Sequoia SR5...now, I know all about the cold weather ticking the engine makes and low oil pressure readings....my question is, can anything be done about it...Hearing that awful knocking sound when its 30 degrees outside makes me dread starting the thing. I am already using synth oil 5w 30...can something like Slick 50 help?
A: all of the above junk is great info if it really mattered or you had 150 k miles on it, you can try a factory oil filter from toyota they have a valve in them to help oil drainback while setting
Q: where is the obd II port on a toyota sequoia?
Cannot find the stupid thing - does anyone know where it is? it's a 2002 SR5 if that happens to matter.
A: above accelerator pedal under dash.
Q: 01' sequoia needs cat converter? how much does it cost?
I have an 01' toyota sequoia 4.7 liter sr5, local repair shop wants 1500 for replacing the catalytic converter. I know these cost from 120usd to 250usd. but what is the usual price for replacing cat, part + labor?
A: COULD BE BIG BUCKS LOOK ON EBAY FOR A AFTERMARKET UNIVERSAL CAT
Q: how good are these vehicles?
is a v6 toyota sequoia sr5 a good type of vehicle to look into? is it expensive on gas? is the insurance skyrocket high?
i am comparing it to my v6 '92 ford taurus
A: Toyota has a reputation for outstanding quality. The Sequoia is very good choice. It being a six..will save you alot on gas.It may however be under powered for such a large vehicle.Insurance will be higher if it is a 4x4,but I don;t think a 4x4 comes in a six.
Another top choice is the newly remodeled Highlander...that got very high marks on consumer reports.I would stay away from such a large SUV....get something smaller.
Q: I am 19 years, and will soon be buying my first car, and wana know what will take place the day of?
I am currently 19 years old, but when I a, 20 years old I will be purchasing my very first vehicle some most likely in September of 2008. I am planning on having around $ 13,500 with the $ 13,000.00 being for the vehicle and the $ 500.00 being for tax, title, license, registration, and any other related fees. I actually plan on and have my heart set on a 2003 or 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5 suv. I have seen a few locally and in surrounding cities for like around $ $ 14,800.00, $ 15,700.00, and $ 16,280.00. By the time September comes or whatever I should have around $ 13,500.00 or even $ 14,00.00 cash saved up. I will be 20 years old in March. So the day I go to the dealership what will happen? When would I sign papers? What all would I sign? Since it will be mine, could all things be in my name only. When will I get my license plate? Also, when would I be required to get inspection sticker and vehicle insurance? Thanks and please let me know.
A: well my mom did that and paid for her car in cash. It was 22,000 dollars, it was a 2005 chevy trailblazer ext.
All we did was go and get the car that we liked went into the dealership took it for a test drive and then we came back and told them our name, adre3ss, phone number, paid for the car and then went home. We then went on a vacation from wisconsin to califonia for a week. When we got back it took another week for the title to come so that we could get the license plate.
Yse all can be in your name if you pay in cash. License plate comes after you get the title then you go to the dmv. we got insurance about the time we got the title.
Q: I am currently 19yrs old, and in December of this year when I am 20 I will buy my first car? My situation?
I am currently 19 years old, and will be buying my first vehicle with my very own money I worked for in December of this year and by then I will be 20. I am aiming to get a 2003 Toyota Sequoia SR5 suv. I know it'll probably have at least 85,000 miles maybe 90,000. I should have by the time December comes between $ 9,000 and $ 10,000 cash to go towards buying it. I know that even at 5 years old I could probably find one For around $ 14,500 or $ 15,000. To insure I get it could I use the $ 9,000 or $ 10,000 as my down payment on the truck and finance the rest. Example I have $9,000 and the truck is $ 14,500 I put $9,000 down and they give me $ 1,000 off the balance leaving me at $ 4,500 to pay back. Could I do it like that. I will be 20 years old at that time so could I get everything in my name only since it will all be for me truck, title, registration, license, etc... Howwould that work, and Would I nee full coverage? My driving record is clean. Advice, thanks so much...
A: I think you're nuts to buy that..insurance and gas would be through the roof. With that kind of money you can buy a 2 or 3 year old car and save a ton. But you do what you want to do.
Q: Which car do you think is better for a first car?
I just saw 2 used cars in my price range which one is better
2003 Toyota Sequoia Sr5

or
2004 Audi A4
http://madirocz.com/audi/Audi001.jpg
this will be my first car that, plus it;s even better i paying for it myself
all under 10k
A: Be a little more patient, and keep looking, both of these cars used are a bad buy, and cost way to much to fix. The price is lower on these to buy, because they have a poor resale value anyway. Better buy, is a Honda Accord or Civic, VW Gulf, or Nissan Altima. Better to paymore for at the start for a better model, than having to foot a big repair bill, and wait to drive it.

A: please take someone with you that has done this before, because it sounds like when the salesperson is through with you, then will have you buying stuff that you will not need nor have no idea what it is for.
