Q: Toyota Sequoia?
Can somebody tell me what the average lifespan of a well maintained Toyota Sequoia might be...in terms of mileage?

A: My wife and I have a Sequoia and a 4-Runner. Prior to that we had a Camry with about 160,000 miles on it. My understanding is that much like many other Toyotas, the Sequoia will run around 200,000+ miles depending on how well you take care of it and what generation it was part of. (A generation is a series of years that a certain body style is made. For instance, with the launch of the new Sequoia, a new generation has been started this year)

Q: toyota sequoia?
i have a toyota sequoia and i was wondering if i should get 22' or 24'' rims.

A: Stay with the stock rims. The over size wheels are going to cost you gas milage, handling and saftey, excess wear and tear on your suspension, etc, etc. If you just gotta have custom wheels, get custom wheels that are as close to the factory specs as possible and still look good.

Q: What kind of fuel mileage does a toyota sequoia average?
I am interested in purchasing a Toyota Sequoia and I was just wondering if anyone might own one and could tell me what the fuel mileage actually averages.......u know from personal experience!!!

A: My girlfriend's dad has a Toyota Sequoia, 2005 year i believe, he gets about 14mpg average on it with mixed city and highway driving. Very nice SUV though, no problems, has a decent mileage on it (over 75,000 now i think) and no problems with the engine or transmission. Very comfortable to drive in on long trips. It costs about $115 to fill up the tank right now and gives you around 350 miles, but if you can afford the gas, go for it!

Q: 2001 Toyota Sequoia Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions HELP?
Does anyone know how to program a keyless entry remote for a 2001 Toyota Sequoia? Please help. I can't seem to find the instructions online. Thanks in advance...

A: Go to www.motors.ebay.com and get the programming instructions for like $5 and program it yourself(it's REALLY easy) instead of paying $100/hr at the dealer, the dealer ALWAYS rips you off. As a mechanic I've seen people a t the dealer get charged 100's of dollars do things that cost $10 to $25. I feel bad for the people who don't know about cars.

Q: How do you Burnout in a 2003 Toyota Sequoia And a 1998 Ford F-150 Both are Automatic?
The F-150 is mine and the Sequoia is a friends.. i also have a 1997 ford thunderbird and i can burnout in that one easy..but when we try it in the other 2 cars the cars just "get down" or seem to lower but no tire spin?

A: first of all is you f-150 a 4wd or a 2wd to do a burnout you can put a little bit of used oil down and that will help the tires start to spin. And with the car same thing little bit of oil. And that should get you burning the rubber off real quick

Q: What size windshield wipers do I need for 2003 Toyota Sequoia?
20 inch? 18? What size? The place i am geting them at doesn't have "Sequoia" on the box they come in.

A: The windshield takes two 19 Inch wiper blades and the rear window takes a single 14. Also, the best wiper blades to get are the Rain-X Weatherbeater Wiper Blades. They were rated by consumers to be the best in wet-weather visibility. We just bought some and they work without streaks and such. I know that you only asked for the size wiper blade that you would need, but if I could I would like to recommend Rain-X windshield teatment for your vehicle. It really improves wet-weather visibility and the usefulness of wipers a lot. I hope this helps you.

Q: Website for Toyota recalls, specifically 2002 Sequoia steering collum?
My freind has a 2002 Toyota Sequoia V8 with automatic transmission. The Park, drive, reverse selector shaft actually broke. You have to reach in there and push / pull the actuator mechinism whenever you shift. Real pain ! The large metal collum that is machined to hold the selector shaft secure actually broke. The metal is pretty substantial where it broke which made me inquire is there a recall on this ? I really can't belive it broke in such a damaging way.

A: You can do a recall search here: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/recallsearch.cfm But no recalls for the shifter on a 2002 Toyota Sequoia. You can do a search of service bulletins here: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm But again I do not see any TSBs on the shifter... I would guess that this is not a common problem, then. In the NHTSA's complaint database, I only found 2 instances (the same two were repeated several times) of something relating to shifting. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/results.cfm (And yes, you could also go through the secondary source http://www.alldata.com/ (now that they list Toyotas again), or if you had a subscription to http://techinfo.toyota.com/ you could also look up the recall and service bulletins there too (plus download all the manuals you have patience to get).)

Q: On that new Toyota Sequoia commercial kids are rolling around in awesome bubble things. What are they?
Not the commercial with the Pete Droge song: "Whichever way the wind blows", there's another one. After the kids have had their fun, the sequoia is shown pulling the bubbles on a flatbed trailer. I would just like to know what they are and where I can get some.

A: Hi! With my husband having a keen eye for detail, he noticed that the big bubble said ZORB, so with a bit of typing around..I found this! http://www.zorb.com/ It looks SO fun!!!! Hope this is what you are looking for!

Q: Is it possible to put the VW v10 TDI engine in a Toyota Sequoia?
I like the V8 in the Sequoia now, but in the future, I may need better fuel economy. Can I fit a Volkswagen V10 TDI engine into the engine bay without too much modification? If so, does anyone have any idea how much the engine would cost new?

A: It will fit with a LOT of modification, and will cost tens of thousands for a new one. You'll have to import it from Germany, as they are no longer sold in the USA. It would be easier to import a V8 turbo diesel Toyota Land Cruiser from a market where they are sold, such as Australia.
