Q: How do you like the acceleration on the Toyota Corolla XRS (recent models)?
I'm thinking of getting a new Corolla XRS. I like the what it has to offer. However, I'm a little concerned about the acceleration power of the car. I've always bought cars w/ V6's in them. I like the extra power when passing on the highway or merging onto the highway. The XRS has the 2.4L engine.

A: the current generation XRS inferior to the last generation one which was lighter. I would defiantely look for a previous generation one.

Q: What is the top speed of the 5 speed automatic 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS?
Is it faster or slower than the previous?

A: The top speed of the 2009 Corolla XRS is 133 mph. It's governed electronically. It's faster than the previous 2005 Corolla XRS which topped out at 130 mph.

Q: I want to trade in my 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS to the dealer. How much value is the car gonna roughly be worth?
Just bought the car last summer: 10,500 miles 5 speed automatic no accidents i have $17,500 left on the loan.

A: www.kbb.com

Q: Does anyone no how to remove the backseat out of a 06 Toyota Corolla Xrs?
Im trying to remove the backseat of my corolla xrs to put a seat cover on back there and i cant figure out how. i went looking in the owners manual and it said that there was levers in the truck that you pull to fold down the backseat, so i figured i would start there but turns out that the xrs model doesnt have them(it said something about the space was needed for something else). if anyone out there no's of a way to get these seat out could you please let me no. Oh and to make things worse i have a built in speaker box in the trunk that im not sure if i can get out so if you no how to get the seat out from inside the car that would be helpful to!

A: You will need to remove seat bottom first just pull really hard on the front of seat and then when you get seat bottom out you will see to 12mm bolts that hold top on

Q: Which one is faster: Toyota Corolla XRS or Honda Civic Mugen Si?
I know the Civic Si Mugen has a good engine, but Corolla XRS is bigger engine and more torque than Honda Civic Si. I see on youtube that most of corolla xrs beat honda civic with B16, B18, D16, H22 and K20. I'm not sure which one has more horsepowers for stock engine. Please let me know about that.

A: My brother in-law and I have raced his 2008 XRS against my B20Vtec Coupe, I pulled on him nasty! With my B16 Civic hatch, I pulled again. And lastly I pulled on him with my STOCK 2006 Honda Civic SI which is a K20. So in my opinion I would put money on my beloved Honda SI Mugen! As to your question of power difference the XRS it has a 1.8L pushing out 164 HP, while the SI is a 2.0L pushing out 197 HP. These numbers are for the US models. Not sure of the power differences elsewhere. We always get screwed out of all the fun here! DAMN BIG BROTHER!

Q: Is a 2010 Toyota corolla xrs a good car for Teens first car?
I wanna put some nice rims

A: It's reliable and all that and you can't go wrong with a company like Toyota, but seriously, who's gonna wanna ride with you in that? You might as well put a bumper sticker on it saying "I don't want friends". Get a Volkswagen Golf 2010, it's equally as reliable, great trim levels, a good amount of power, fuel efficient and it looks pretty damn good.

Q: I'm thinking of buying a 2005 toyota corolla xrs? Is it a good buy?
I'm looking to buy a sporty small 4 door car that's good on mileage and has good horsepower that's not too expensive. I think this corolla is a good choice, right? Any comments?

A: Yea, its a gas saver.

Q: is the 2006 toyota corolla xrs a good car?
i am thinking to buy one for $11500 with 31k miles on it, as oppose to a civic si which is 6k more. would the xrs be a better overall value? thnx

A: They are good cars the 2ZZ is a pretty powerful 1.8l engine. A Corolla XRS with a I/H/E and good tune via a PFC can get you into the high 13's with a good set of tires plus skilled driver. In acceleration they are very close, since it weights 200lb less than the Civic. That compensates the fewer ponies in their engine. ***Sorry to dissapoint all those honda fanboys, but after being a current proud owner of 2006 Honda Civic Si, that doesn't mean that I'm a blinded fanatic *** The only downside that I found among XRS owners is that the transmission isn't very strong and can break easily.

Q: What's the difference between the 2009 and the 2010 Toyota Corolla S/XRS models?
. Exterior/Interior/Engine/Price Thanks.

A: The XRS has the Toyota Camry 4 cylinder engine, which is the most powerful engine for the Corolla. The Corolla S has the bodykit and looks of the more sporty XRS, but the same power as the base Corolla.

Q: toyota corolla xrs..interested in getting it but....?
is the toyota corolla xrs a stick shift? or is it an automatic? im getting it next year for my 16th and im getting the 09 toyota corolla xrs..

A: Either - you can get it in 5-speed auto or 5-speed manual.

Q: What's your opinion on the 10th generation Toyota Corolla S/XRS Models?
Thaaaanks. Also what's the difference between the 2009 and the 2009 model? Woops! I meant 2009 & 2010 models* Thanks!

A: The new Corollas are, like their predecessors, extremely reliable and economical cars. They are a bit more comfortable and quieter than the earlier ones too. The XRS is not so efficient but it is a lot more powerful. Since the 2009 model is an all new car I doubt that there will be and significant changes to the 2010 model.

Q: The 2008 Toyota Corolla XRS, Nissan Sentra Spec V, or Honda Civic Si?What would You own?
AND y??the value?style?brand name?

A: all three cars are very good and it depends on which one you like and the difference in price. what I do is go to edmunds.com and follow instructions and when you are checking out the three cars there will be a customer review which you can click on and customers who own will write in and give their opinions on each car and that might sway you one way or another. after that I would buy the one that either was the best price or the one I liked most if all reviews were close and which dealer had the color and options I wanted. be sure to check out that site and see how the reviews are .

Q: 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS or TC?

A: You want a sedan (4 door) or a coupe (2 door)? Thats all there is to it.

Q: Toyota Corolla XRS vs. S trim?
I'm planning on purchasing a 2009 Toyota Corolla. I have two questions: 1) I cannot decide between the S or the XRS trim. The only differences engine-wise are the liter capacity (1.8 for the S, 2.4 for the XRS) and 26 horsepower (132 for the S, 158 for the XRS). Both vehicles have 4-cylinder engines, and leather seats are available on both trims. Does anyone else know of any advantages/disadvantages of either? I would prefer information from current owners if possible. 2) I'm also wondering if automatic or manual transmission would serve me better? Both offer identical city/highway MPG, and the only advantage I can think of is that I've heard that automatics tend to be more reliable because they don't suffer from operator errors. Thoughts? Oh! I almost forgot. Also, the XRS has a 5-speed AT, and the S has a 4-speed AT. Does this matter?

A: First of all there is a big difference in the fuel mileage of these 2 cars. The auto S get 26/34 city/highway and the XRS gets 22/30. Since you are asking I assume that you don't really need the extra power, the S is plenty peppy for most drivers. I have a 2008 Corolla with a manual transmission. I find the manual more fun to drive and it does get better mileage. However, again, if you are asking I would suggest the automatic. Any version of the Corolla is a very trouble free economical car.

Q: Toyota Corolla S V.S. Toyota Corolla XRS?
What is the difference between the two? Which one is better and why? I know one main difference is that the S has a smaller cylindar than the XRS making the S available in 4 speed automatic whereas the XRS can come in a 5 speed automatic. I don't know much about cars other than they get you from a to b. I am a big Toyota fan and I especially love Corolla but I was building my own on the website and I didn't know whether I should be asking about an S or an XRS when I go Saturday to the actual dealership. Thank you much!!

A: For 2009 the XRS comes with a 2.4 liter and the S comes with a 1.8. The XRS is more powerful 156- or so horses versus the S's 132. If you want the faster car, go with the XRS, if you want fuel economy go with the S. I say, go with the S.
