Q: Toyota corolla?
i bought this 84 corolla for $2500 cnd but when turn the steering wheel to the most right or left, there is some noises come from front wheels ,i mean lots of noises from front wheels, wierd noises.what should i do? SORRY IT IS 94 COROLLA

A: What kind of weird noises? Is it a kind of grinding sound as the wheels are turning left or right? Power steering. I had a leak and was without for a while, used Valvoline power steering fluid with seal conditioners, and voila, problem gone. Could be a lot of things, though, your mileage may vary. edit: If it's power steering (if your car even HAS power steering), get it fixed. The car is light enough to drive without it, but I seem to recall reading when I had my problem that the 84 Corolla (FWD, right? If it's a RWD model you got a hell of a deal, BTW) is such that you shouldn't drive the PS models without PS working, it'll damage the steering system. I'm guessing it has to do with more force being required higher up in the steering system. Is it a clunking sound that is worse the farther left or right you turn the wheel, and which you mainly hear while you are going through a turn under power? In that case, CV joints. Replace the whole axle (might as well do both). Do it yourself, it isn't hard. (You'll want to have the right torque specs and a decent torque wrench, though) Other things it could be: Bearings, tires (hey, it's possible), something could be scraping against your tire that doesn't when the wheels are pointed straight... Without knowing what it sounds like, there's no way to be sure.

Q: Does buying a 2008 Toyota Corolla from a used car dealer still hold the manufacturers warranty?
I am considering buying a 2008 toyota corolla with 15000 miles from a used car dealership. I was wondering if the manufacturers warranty still applies for this car. Toyota give a basic warranty of 3 years/36000 miles and 5 years 60,000 miles. Thanks for your help!

A: Maybe, I had bought a few Hyundai's years ago with less than 60k, which was their then warranty and had work done for free. Another dealer I knew bought a kia with 28,000 miles and a knocking motor and they told him it was mistreated and therefore not covered. (Apparently they never changed the oil) Similarly, major body damage CAN void warranty's if its not done at the dealer. Call the service manager and ask. Drive it by and let him look at it. I would think the dealer who has it would be touting the fact that its under factory warranty if it indeed is. But, them touting it doesnt make it so. They sell it AS IS to you. The factory warranty is between you and the factory so satisfy yourself and dont rely on anything the seller tells you. Verbal promises or representations are worthless.

Q: What are the best speakers for a 99 toyota corolla for the money?
I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla, and I want to upgrade the factory speakers, 2 front doors, and 2 rear panel. I've always heard Pioneer was good, but I was wondering what others are recommended? I like to blast my music pretty loud so I want some that will last a long while, also I don't want to spend too much money.

A: pioneer speakers are.. "meh" unless you get their high end models, which can cost 200+ just for a pair polk audio speakers are good, along with inifinity speakers.. go to www.crutchfield.com and find the "outfit my car" tab and put all of your vehicle specs in and it will show you what size speakers it takes and what will or wont fit and where it will fit

Q: Can I program the smart entry key of a toyota Prius to a corolla?
I have 2 spare toyota prius smart entry keys. It is possible to re-program them for my corolla-ultima? Is there any cross compatibility between toyota prius and toyota corolla's smary entry keys? If so how do I need to re program those keys for my corolla?

A: Hi, the first question I have is what vehicle the two spare Smart Keys were intended for, if any. Were they originally linked to a Prius? Changing the Smart Key's coding is not something you can do at home or at an aftermarket/independent shop. They simply won't have the programming equipment. You have to use a Toyota dealership to reprogram the Smart Keys, however you will run into a much bigger issue. Smart Keys are linked to a specific vehicle's transponder/receiver system with coding through a specialty progamming computer. To explain this, if you somehow lost both of your original, already-programmed Smart Keys for any Toyota/Lexus, you would not only have to buy new Smart Keys, but you would also have to replace the internal Smart Key transponder computer inside the vehicle itself. It is a linked and internally-locked system and it will not accept new Smart Keys made without one of the original Smart Keys present to verify the original codes. One will not work without the other. So, unless the Smart Keys you have have never been programmed to a Prius and are completely blank, you will not be able to link them to another vehicle, even if that vehicle has a Smart Key system. It doesn't matter if it is a Corolla or any other vehicle.

Q: How do i change the headlight bulb in a 1989 toyota corolla?
I need to know how to remove the bulb from a 1989 toyota corolla and replace it as mine is burnt out. Also any idea what bulbs would be an appropriate replacement?

A: On the back of the headlight, turn the base of the light bulb holder and then pull it out. The wires on them should be removable on the base of the bulbs. To remove the bulb from the base turn the bulb and it should be easy to oull out then replace the bulb using the same process. Make sure you wipe the light bulb face so that you leave no finger prints on them, some bulb will burn out with prints on them. Hope this helps.

Q: What size windshield wipers for toyota corolla?
I need to replace the windshield wipers on my 1997 toyota corolla, what size should i buy?

A: Sounds too simple to be true but get a tape measure and measure them. Measure both as some cars have different sizes left vs right. The wipers are sold in inch measurements to ease the selection process. Wipers are a get what you pay for item. Cheap price is cheap quality and Viceversa

Q: How much does a starter cost for a 2001 toyota corolla?
I just bought this car last week and now my starter is shot, it won't come on. I thought it had something to do with my remote car starter but now I don't think it's the case. A friend checked my car and said that I need to buy another car starter, but he didn't know the price for a toyota corolla starter.

A: starter can run you from 60 to 180 dollars but depending on your location there is places that can overhaul your own starter for about 50 dollars. at the dealer you may also buy electrical solenoid contacts wich is the most comon problem, call them and ask it does not hurt to check the price for repair parts if you live in los angeles call miller toyota at 310 559 3777

Q: How to return a Toyota Corolla 09 when i'm still paying for it?
I am going back to my country next month. But i have been using this Corolla since last year and still paying for it. I think the best way is to return it to Toyota but what do you think guys? Please give me some advices.. Thanks. I bought it using the loan from Toyota. If i sell it, the process will take like 2 months and i would be gone by then. If someone is interested and wants to pay me a little bit, when will he be able to pay me since the process would like 2 months. Please give me advice...

A: Well, if you "give it back" it will hurt your credit for 7 years and they could come after you for the deficiency balance. Im not sure if credit reports are global or not. Bottom line is if you give it back and owe more than its worth, you wont likely buy a car in the US and maybe anywhere at a decent interest rate for probably 5+ years. It stays on your credit report for 7 years.
