I was doing a tune up on my 1999 Toyota 4runner SR5 6cyl 3.4L. My dad decided he wanted to help me while I ran to the store to exchange my spark plugs and messed up the wiring order for the cylenders. Does anyone know what order they go back on in?
A: The coils are on cylinders 1, 3, 5, and the wires go from:
1 to 4
3 to 6
5 to 2

It all started while pulling a trailer. I could smell brunt wires just after i connected the wiring harness from the trailer to my 4runner. I noticed my gas gauge started to act weird. I disconnected the trailers wiring harness from my 4runner and the gauge went all the way to full. Now when i fill my gas tank to full it goes to half a tank on the gauge. Can some one plz help!!!!
A: check the wiring harness that runs from the back of the truck(tail,brake lights) to under the dash. good chance that the fuel level sensor wires run into the harness and may have been damaged when the trailer was connected to the truck. good idea to check this harness anyway for any damage.,

Update: The 3VZ-E V6 is 4.8 quarts, the horsepower is 150, the torque is 180 ft. lbs. Anything else you need to know. I have Shopkey software from my dealer that gives specs for most vehicles. Need info on the 4 cylinder also? I have that too.

Hello, There is a 1991 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4X4 5sp manual for sale that is in good condition with 250,000 mles on the body and 107,000 on the engine. The engine is out of a wrecked 4Runner (V6) that has since had its gaskets, spark plugs and other parts replaced. The price is 2500.00.
Does this seem to be a good purchase? It being a 91, with another engine put into the vehicle?

A: I have a 95 4 runner with 270000 miles and it still runs like a champ. It is the original and has never been rebuilt. I take it camping in the hills and i off road the heck out of it. I love this vehicle and 2500 is not a bad price at all. The replacement motor alone is about 3500 where i live.

A: The amount of money and effort needed to do this wouldn't be worth it. Cheaper to buy a new one with the features you want. From reworking the mounts to rewiring the engine bay and computer system. Not a viable option
