A: They don't roll over easy but with any SUV you will have to drive it carefully they are very high , so you cant drive it like a sports car. and make sure you ,keep an eye on tire pressure.

A '98 limited with 150K for $3,200? That's a screaming deal. They normally go for the range of $10K.

A: WELL THE FOUR PRONG PLUGS ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL BECAUSE WHEN THE PLUG FIRES THE SPARK ONLY GO TO ONE PRONG AT A TIME. THEY USE THE PITCH AS A SALES GIMMICK. SO I WOULD SUGGEST USING FACTORY SPEC PLUGS OR BOSCH PLATINUM OR NGK PLAT PLUGS SINGLE PRONG.

2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6 with Nav, Leather, Sunroof with 86,000 miles for $13,900
or a
2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V6 with Leather,Sunroof with 76,000 miles for $11,980
Neither have a third row seat but I really like the Explorer but wouldn't mind a 4Runner because they are nice. Any opinions?
A: Go with the 4Runner. Even is the Ford was maintained better, the 4Runner will give you less trouble and it'll have a better resale value. It's also guaranteed that the Ford will have transmission problems; I think it's a law or something.

I have been told that I have a timing CHAIN and that timing chains don't need to be changed. One individual said that I have a timing BELT. I realize that belts DO need to be changed. My question is: Do I have a timing BELT or CHAIN? How could I find out which one I have? Are there any websites that will allow me to enter my VIN # and find the specifics of my vehicle? A: your vehicle has the 3400 V6 in it...this engine uses a timing belt...it is noticable by looking at the front of the motor...observe the black plastic cover over the upper 2/3's...i would also recommend that you replace your water pump along with the timing belt

A: I would say It's worth putting an air intake on your 4runner no matter what. But as for the supercharger, it's pretty affordable they run for about $1500-2500 used. It'll definately add some pep, but there are some drawbacks.
With the s/c, it will require 91+ octane gas. Depending on where you live, you might need extra parts to run smoothly and safely. The TRD s/c kit has a tendency to ping at low speeds and in low gears.

On my 4runner, when I let off the brakes, its like they are still gripping when I let go. And on the driver door when I open it, it kind of makes a sound like it needs more oil in it
A: Sounds like the pistons in the calipers are sticking. You should have this checked soon. The pads will wear quicker and you could warp the rotors.
As for the door sounding like it needs oil, it probably does. Oil the hinges and the noise should go away.
